Cara is an occupational therapist and a 200-hour registered yoga teacher. She is committed to sharing things to care about related to:

Cara strives to help people look beyond their disabilities or limitations to recognize their unique gifts and share them with the world. With the goal of giving back to the community, you can expect a variety of creative resources and intervention ideas.

Doctor of Occupational Therapy

Cara served as the Co-Director of the Equal Access Clinic during her graduate studies. She provided pro-bono services to Gainesville community members under the guidance of licensed clinicians. For her doctoral capstone experience & project, Cara developed a resource for patients with limited access to healthcare at UF Health. Serving diverse & minority communities continues to be one of her core values as a practitioner.

Bachelors of Science in Family & Child Sciences

Cara participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program and earned a Developmental Disabilities Certificate which deepened her knowledge about exceptional children and their growth patterns. One of the most purposeful experiences of her undergraduate career was advocating for the inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the Best Buddies organization.

200-hour registered yoga teacher

Cara completed a 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Pod university in 2023. Yoga continues to be a way for Cara to connect with friends, family, and strangers and has expanded to mean much more to her. Through yoga, she has learned to move through life mindfully, find meaning in daily activities, and appreciate the here & now. Cara aspires to help her students strengthen their mind-body connection.
